Statement by Congressman Rob Menendez on Major Funding for Gateway Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following the announcement of $3.8 billion in funding for the Gateway Program, Congressman Rob Menendez released the following statement:

“$3.8 billion in new federal funding for the Gateway Program and the start of the next phase of its largest component is great news for the Eighth Congressional District.

 “Under the leadership of President Biden and New Jersey’s Congressional Delegation, progress on the nation’s largest critical infrastructure project continues to quickly accelerate.

“I look forward to continuing my work on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to advance this transformative project and delivering big wins for our district, our state, and our region. This is just the beginning and we look forward to the work ahead.”
