The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’' official award for young Americans ages 14–24 that recognizes initiative, leadership, and personal achievement. This program encourages participants to set and accomplish goals in four areas: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration.
Participants work at their own pace to earn awards while developing leadership skills and making a positive impact in their communities. Congressman Rob Menendez is proud to promote this opportunity and recognize the outstanding accomplishments of young people across New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District.
