If you are having difficulty getting a timely response from a federal agency, or if you feel you have been treated unfairly, our office may be able to help. While we cannot guarantee a specific outcome, we will do our best to help you receive a fair and timely response.

Residents of New Jersey’s 8th Congressional District may submit a request for assistance using the form below. After you submit your request, one of our caseworkers will review your information and contact you with next steps. Please allow two business days for a staff member to reach out.

If you do not hear from our office within two business days, please call our Jersey City District Office at (201) 309-0301 and ask to speak with a caseworker. When calling, please have the name and phone number you listed on your request form available so we can locate your submission in our system.

If your situation is an emergency, please call our office immediately after submitting your request so that a caseworker can review the matter as quickly as possible.

To help us serve you efficiently, please include all relevant details in your request, such as:

Your Social Security number if your issue involves the Social Security Administration
Your VA claim number for Department of Veterans Affairs matters
Your taxpayer identification number (Social Security number for individuals) for IRS matters
You’re A-number and application/petition receipt numbers for USCIS matters
Your current address and phone number so our staff can contact you if needed

Please Note:

Under the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. § 552a), our office must receive your written authorization before we can make an inquiry or obtain information about your case. After reviewing your request, we will send you the appropriate Privacy Release Waiver.
Our office cannot intervene in matters that are before a court, including federal, state, immigration, criminal, civil, or family court proceedings.
Our staff cannot act as attorneys, provide legal advice, or directly assist in completing legal forms or applications.
If your concern involves a New Jersey state program or benefit—such as NJ FamilyCare, unemployment insurance, SNAP benefits, NJ Transit, or the MVC—we encourage you to contact your local New Jersey State Senator or Assembly member, as they are best positioned to assist with state-level agencies.
