Office of Congressman Rob Menendez Successfully Closes 1,000th Constituent Case
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Rob Menendez announced the closure of his 1,000th constituent case. Since taking office in January, Congressman Menendez and his team have worked to solve constituent cases ranging from complex immigration cases, to returning funds to residents and in-district businesses.
“I am proud to announce that our team has solved 1,000 constituent cases for the residents of the Eighth Congressional District,” said Congressman Menendez. “When we took office in January, we made a commitment to provide the highest level of service to every single resident of our district. It is a privilege to have been able to assist so many of our residents and I look forward to working to solve many more cases.”
In the last 10 months, Congressman Menendez’s team has solved cases that include:
- Coordinating the safe arrival of Afghan refugees to New Jersey by working with the United States Department of State to secure embassy interviews and to place them on an airlift out of Afghanistan;
- Expediting visas for a Holocaust survivor and their at-home nurse to allow them to leave Israel following the October 7th terrorist attack;
- Facilitating the payment of three years worth of Social Security and Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for the family of a constituent, including the immediate return of over $40,000 in missing backpay; and
- Allowing a constituent’s non-U.S. citizen’s husband to travel to the U.S. in time for the birth of their child through an expedited visa approval.
