JERSEY CITY, NJ – Congressman Rob Menendez announced today that his team has successfully returned more than $6.1 million to New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District residents through federal casework assistance.
Since taking office, Menendez’s casework team has assisted constituents in recovering federal benefits from the IRS, Social Security Administration, Medicare, Veterans Affairs, and other federal programs.

One such case involved a constituent from Hoboken who had severe difficulties obtaining public service loan forgiveness that they were eligible for. Menendez’s casework team was able to work to resolve this situation and secure over $370,000 in loan forgiveness for their constituent.

Another constituent from Jersey City faced an unresolved IRS issue for years. With the assistance from Menendez’s casework team, the matter was resolved in a few weeks and over $88,000 was returned.
