Today, Congressman Rob Menendez (NJ-08) released the following statement on the one year anniversary of the October 7th attacks:
"One year ago today, Israel was attacked and our world forever changed. Innocent lives lost, hostages taken, communities shattered. Since then, despite rising antisemitism around the globe, Israeli and Jewish people have remained steadfast in their faith and in the fight for their future.
"As we reflect on the last year, let us remember the resiliency of the Jewish people, the faith that strengthens them, and the light that even in the darkest of times, continues to burn bright. May the memory of this fateful day be a reminder of the work ahead — bringing the hostages home, standing against antisemitism, and ensuring that history never repeats itself."
