Every American has a right to quality and affordable healthcare. In Congress, I am working to protect the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which took critical steps to lower costs, expand coverage for underinsured and uninsured populations, and ensure Americans cannot be denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions. We must build on this landmark law by increasing access to care, mental health services, and affordable prescription drugs. I proudly voted against harmful Republican proposals that would gut ACA protections and make it easier for employers to withhold coverage for vulnerable or high-risk populations. And I am committed to finding effective solutions to our nation’s healthcare challenges that prioritize patients and lower costs for American families.
