WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Rob Menendez today announced his introduction of the Working Families Task Force Act (H.R. 2614), which would establish a federal task force to improve the standard of living for working families in America.
“I am proud to introduce the Working Families Task Force Act, which will ensure a whole-of-government approach to creating solutions to address affordability, child care, affordable housing, and the many challenges working families in New Jersey’s Eighth Congressional District and across the country are facing,” said Congressman Rob Menendez. “The task force will also develop policy recommendations to guide our work from day one when House Democrats take back the majority, enabling us to enact real solutions quickly. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues to make our economy work for every American.”
The Working Families Task Force Act requires the Secretary of Labor, in consultation with the Secretaries of Health and Human Services, Education, Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Treasury, Transportation, and Agriculture to establish an Interagency National Task Force on Working Families.
